Councilmembers Hernandez, Soto-Martinez, Jurado and Advocates to Host Press Conference Calling for Public Bank
LOS ANGELES — On Friday, May 30, 2025, Councilmembers Eunisses Hernandez, Hugo Soto-Martinez, and Ysabel Jurado will host a press conference ahead of introducing a motion to fund Phase I of a feasibility study for a public bank in Los Angeles. The Councilmembers will be joined by an array of labor leaders, economic justice organizations, and the coalition that has supported this effort for several years to highlight the need for this important step.
